Prompt: Come up with a poem about an object that describes you.
Really? Another poem. Okay...here goes.
Here is a poem about a book.
It's kept next to my crochet hook.
There seems to be a lot of verses,
Without all of those ugly curses.
It is actually a huge collection,
Of which I have a lot of affection.
If you haven't guessed, it's the Bible.
No, no, please hold all your libel.

T minus 2 hours
I am thoroughly nervous for the stroke of midnight. The chaos and frenzy that is NaNoWriMo will begin, and I have nothing short of a few mere ideas to hold me over for thirty days. Now is what we call in the procrastinator's world as crunch time!
On a great and light note, I am very excited to share that I got this amazing job at a national bookstore chain. I will be surrounded by books for a living. How awesome is THAT?!?

Plot bunnies x2
I'm not sure why the "x2" is there, but I just wanted to distinguish it from the last "plot bunny" post.
Like I said last time, I would post anything if that "bunny" progressed into anything more interesting. Well, it did...sort of. I haven't really planned much of it, and it's not what I originally had in mind, but it's something, and that's all that matters...right?
It's so un-planned that it doesn't even have a main character yet. Scary, huh? I definitely have a lot of work to do, but I'll update later! Keep posted. In the mean time, check out the other blog posts ("currently reading" and "cat lovers, listen up!"), and read the amazing book by Gwen Cooper, "Homer's Odyssey."

Cat lovers, listen up!
As an avid animal lover (but cats in particular), I read a book called "Homer's Odyssey" by Gwen Cooper. I didn't have too high hopes for it, but it kept me reading (200+ pages!) until 4:30 in the morning. It is a MUST READ for animal lovers, cat lovers, even people who aren't too into animals. It will change your outlook on life, and that's something to be said about a book. It is a memoir, but I didn't know until the middle of the first chapter, and the forward/prologue must be read, otherwise, the story doesn't make sense.
After reading it, I really want to meet these famous cats, and snuggle them up or just play with them. :) Go and READ THIS! You won't be disappointed. I guarantee it. :-)
